Extra Regulator Wire? (1 Viewer)

I searched this topic and found no solution for the fourth wire.
I have a new voltage regulator from ccot. It has three wires going into the green connector and one wire by itself.

The wires going into the connector are WR, WB, WG. The lone wire is solid blue. I was thinking that this is the wire for the instrument cluster.

Any ideas? Thanks.

It is for a capacitor to deaden electrical noise.

It is not necessary.

Thanks! I thought I read that on a past thread but I wasn't sure they were talking aftermarket or not.

Can I get a capicator at radio shack or do I need to go to an auto parts store? I do plan on installing a stereo at some point.

Don't fool with it.

It will not be an issue with a quality modern radio. If it is an issue, radioshack sells a 12v noise filter about the size of a 12 guage shotgun shell that you install in-line with your radio's power supply, it works well. I use one with my CB, my Alpine head unit did not require any help filtering noise.
