can anyone help me understand the :

- Explaining the Differences in the EARLY FEN 3 wire Alternator plug out EWD and Later LEF


- what's a IC Regulator type ?

- all early Toyota's use the FEN until say 1980's early then Mini truck , 22R 22RE and Cressida and corolla and so on move to the LEF off set brown plug out ?

The difference is the voltage regulator is internal to the alt, not separate on the firewall and no stupid extra "charge" relays.


if that's the case ?

then what's a 27700-38010 / 27700-38113 and how does it relate to the LEF brown offset plug unit above ?


- what does IC regulator stand for the IC part , i refer to


- this is my ACTUAL questions .......

this is a remote voltage regulator mount and directoy relates to the LEF unit above ?

so the internal regulator topic tech you refer to does not make sence ?

Sorry misread.
IC stands for "internally controlled"
The regulator is using a zener diode to turn on/off vs a mechanism.

This article is pretty interesting.


so i can basically conclude the IC Regulator is a primitive FORM of a " Digital type ON OFF Voltage Regulator " ??

vs

old land cruiser one is mechanical with bi-metallic moving parts springs ?

im trying to solve to big problems :


- GET the IC regulator crowd a OEM parts solution for the 27700-38113 thats now NLA ?


and

- try to utilize or MOD the LEF offset brown plug units to work in concert with a FEN land cruiser system ?


- i have takin on some big ideas but you folks GOT ROLALLY SCREWED BY TOYOTA on the NLA voltage IC regulator deal ?

notta any viable solutions

when Mr T screws US we MUST Re-Produce or Re-Apply applications of other OEM toyota genuine parts

its what i do ands what im good at , and well i like helping people get to work and school etc...........

i just scooped up a 100 pcs of the Brown harness side LEF input connector plugs , so its going to happed in one way shape or form

I see the 2 needs …

Separately if you will

I see a opertunity to assist both avenues on one topic

2 TEq needed parts kill shots with only one successful bullet


Heck if a brown offset plug unit can be made to wire with a FEN set up

Then it’s a win for all of us

If I can reproduce the 38113 NLA disc regulator in some way real worla

Then he’ll yes indeed I will


It’s what I do for a living

The NLA parts issue is here and now

Screw purist !

It’s a OEM toyota parts that’s all that matters in my skool of TEq thought
