I am trying to locate the source of a rattle I have when idling, It sounds like it is coming from the exhaust I have searched around but not extensively I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Could be 'in' the exhaust. When I replaced mine, the cat innards rattled as did the rusted muffler. If you have a lift, sometimes the exhaust end will rattle against the rear shackle bolt. Tap the cat and muffler with a rubber mallet and see what you hear. Also, there is a metal shield just after the cat on the hangers....those bolts or welds (I can't remember) securing the shield rust out and it will rattle.
