Does anyone have any experience with these style lights? Wondering if I should try, or avoid?

I say go for it. If you like them get them. Don't throw your OE ones out just in case. The only possible issue I can think of is the bulbs being different and you have to adapt.
Wondering the same thing. Hopefully you will get some good feedback. Want to upgrade my ‘97 to LED. Have considered looking for an Aussie part out 82 and changing the rectangles to LED. This would be a nice option you have here if it works. BX Built has a really nice LED upgrade set, but it’s $1000...
These are not LED. Read the description carefully, the halos are LED but the main bulbs are halogen. Still a cool look though.

Are they glass lensed or plastic?
Make sure you get the headlights for LHD or RHD accordingly.
