i'm planning of getting a 97 landcruiser. most likely the milage will be >70k. question is: when the engine gets old should i rebuild and supercharge/safari turbo it or engine swap to the 4.7L V8. i've heard that the V8's power is a world of difference. has anyone done this type of engine swap? and what are the details. thanks in advance

The 4.7 is a nice motor. I don't think it will prove to be as durable as the I-6. I have not heard of anyone doing the swap yet. The V-8s are still way too expensive with all the electrics you would have to swap in with them. Should be an easy swap though.
