My ride kinda smoke a little and stinks, it seems to be getting worse, I havn't really lost any oil I think it could be the rings or the carb. I have a weber and don't know how to adjust fuel/air ratio? I was thinking of adding one of those engine restore thingd to my oil and wondered which is the best?

compression numbers? I would start there and for me I dont like snake oils in my rigs.

what color is the smoke and what does it smell like?

white and sweet, dark and burning, blue and burning, purple and corndogs?

I too would do a compression test and maybe leak down test. Then make sure the carb is tuned and valves adjusted before you start adding stuff. I added restore as a last resort to try and bring my compression up and just delay the engine rebuild.

Also I would try some seafoam before adding stuff to oil. If the weber is not set up right you might be running rich and have a lot of carbon buildup. You could take it somewhere and just see what the mixture is with a sensor in tailpipe.

goodluck

napa has it
