I’ve never dealt with a knocking engine previously. It seems too quiet but I’d rather be totally off the mark than ignore it and having to shell out cash for a new engine. I haven’t driven it in several months so this is fairly new.

Hope the link works out. Probably dumb to request, but let me know if it doesn’t.
Thanks in advance for everyone’s input, y’all have helped me out more than any gear head buddy of mine!

Have you tried taking the belts off to see if it still makes the noise? Mine sounded like that and it was a bad (brand new) water pump. What brand alternator and does its pulley turn smoothly?

Sounds belt/pulley related.. does it go away after driving for 10-15 minutes?

My AC tensioner pulley made a similar noise before replacement.

I checks all belts. My initial thought was one had a loose length flappin around. I couldn’t isolate it any further than the belt area…. Guess I’ll poke around further. Good thing it’s not my daily driver. Thanks again y’all!

Sounds plastic-on-plastic. Think you're clear of a serious issue.
Maybe the fan tapping the fan shroud a tiny bit?
