Curious as a newbie to cars starting system - how is my engine still firing with my engine fuse blown. And then follow up - with every other device disattached from battery - meaning only car drawing power from battery ... how is my engine fuse blowing (alternator?)? And how is it still firing with that fuse blown? I need to find out why I’m blowing that fuse every single start

Mine was doing the same thing...when I went through and re-wired some things I had one crossed at the alternator.

If your idle solenoid is getting power from somewhere else it will still run/drive.
I drove mine for ~3 months with no engine fuse.

Can you still hear the solenoid click when the key is turned on?

ya I can still hear click so it’s getting power from somewhere ... I need to check my alt wires I guess. Will check back if I don’t find anything messed up there - right on
