Is there a "decoder ring" for the abbreviations printed on the fuse box lid? Some of them I can figure out but most of them are pretty cryptic. I know I could probably figure this out if I took the time finding the wiring diagrams. I'm just thinking some smarter than me mudder has already done this and made a cheat sheet. This seems to vary by model year too to make it worse.

I want to find or make a cheat sheet to have to help trouble shoot issues and to help find appropriate circuits for when I'm adding accessories. Right now, I am trying to find a circuit that is only on when the ignition is on to run my air compressor. I put the add-a-fuse thingy on a fuse that says "IGN" and it works like I want it to but I don't like messing with a circuit that is necessary for the truck to start and run. I want to find some other fuse/circuit that is for something non-critical but is is switched.

As I type this, I am realizing that what I really need to do is find and print the wiring schematics, and I'm just being lazy but…

Take a multi meter or a test light probe and see which fuses are active and which are not when the car is off. Then start the car and test the ones that where off when the car was off. These are the ones you can use to only power on when the ignition is on.
