I have search but can not find the info I am looking for. Can you please help?
I have the body off the frame and need some info. I thought I recorded the info before I took it apart but apparently not.
Does anyone have a drawing of the engine bay?
What I need to know if you can help is:
1. How far it is from the firewall to the front bib?
2. How far is the rad fron the front bib?
3. How wide is the engine bay between the inner fender?
4. How wide is the engine bay at the bib?
5. How wide is the engine bay between the inner fenders?
Thanks

Well....
I have a bare frame (just body mounts) and am tryig to decide where to place my engine.
I am trying to determine if I have room for an engine driven fan or if I have to install a dual electric fan.
I am also wondering if the rad and fan set-up from a 2010 F150 with the dual fans will fit.
How high/low do i have to position the motor to get the best fender clearance?
My body is in storage and I don't have room at home for everything, I am hoping that someone might have this info to save me trying to fight with mocking the front end together in some way or another.
Thanks,
Gavin

What sort of motor are you going to put in there? With most the width is not an issue.

i would mock it up there is just to much what ifs to answer the question, as far as the fans go if you have home for a manuel one than you have room for a electric one, without knowing what motor i guess the fenders should not be in the way.

I would loe to have the body here to help me mock it up but I have no room. The engine is a Ford modular. A 5.4L 3valve Triton with the 5R110 automatic transmission behid it. It is a fly by wire engine.
So to start I really need:
1. How far it is from the firewall to the front bib?
and since I don't have rad mounts o my frame I could really use the answer to:
2. How far is the rad fron the front bib?
the answer to:
4. How wide is the engine bay at the bib?
Will help me to determine if the slim rad with dual fans off of a 2010 F150 with the same engine will fit.

Post what engine and transmission you are doing, I would bet many others have done the same combination and can give you their measurements and photos.
