electrical short in the glow plug circuit (1 Viewer)

I have an electrical short in my 78bj40 glow plug circuit. Currently, I have removed one of the wires connected to the glow plug indicator to stop the shorting. Is there a simple way to detect what is causing this short?

start from either end and work your way in. It's most likely at a chaffing point like at the firewall or somewhere the wires rub on something. Also, check the switch to make sure it isn't screwed.
