My dash cluster and now my heater / AC controls have gone out. My 100 series will only run while the battery is being charged. While the shop was testing the fuses, he leaned on the fuse box and the batter started taking a charge. He said I probably needed a new fuse box but he wasn't sure. I've looked and can't find one online. The shop owner mentioned "River toy" when I asked if he could fix it.

I had taken it to the dealership to get the key reprogrammed about 3 years ago and they couldn't get to the ECM with their laptop and recommend replacing the box as well, but they said the the boxes are not in production.

Should I just list it on Craigslist and cry myself to sleep?

Assuming you have a 99 from your screen name (helps to confirm)? If that is the failure point and you want to replace, the part is available. 82720-60022

You can find discounted by 30% +/- at several online dealers. You could try a salvage option, or Cruiser Parts and see if they have one.

There's a 2000 LX470 in a yard near me. I have no idea what the salvage cost would be, but removing it would be an hour, or two, and I still wouldn't have a new electrical part but a 20 year old one. If my 2000 needed a new fuse lock, I'd buy a new one.

I'd have the moron that leaned on it pay for it. That thing is so far into the engine bay you'd have to be on the fender with your gut to lean on it.

FWIW, PartSouq has it listed for $349.95

Did you end finding a quality fuze box part ending 0022 for your LC100?

I think I was the moron that did it when I was replacing the 'T' connectors in the back of the engine bay that disintegrates over time with the radiator fluid.
Thanks for heads up with site.

Nope, parts.toyota said they had one, ordered it, then 2 weeks later got the 'sorry it's out of stock and no longer available email.
