EGR cooler cleaning / refurb (1 Viewer)

Can I dip this whole thing (just the egr cooler unit portion) in Evap-o-rust? Or are there parts inside that I need to open it up and take out first?

IIRCC there are no parts inside, just a bunch of baffles cast into the housing

Took mine apart. Didn't need to. The cooler face is an alloy. I would make sure your rust remover won't harm it before using it.

Ok, im using Evapo-rust ... which is like "the safest"
