Having some rough low rpm idling from what iv read it could just be my EGk valve that needs to be cleaned.

any one have a write up on how they have done it?! iv never dont it on a toyota before so any info and pics would be awesome.

Just cleaned my "EGR" valve. It was pretty easy. I soaked all the bolts down for several days before I removed it and it came right off. I then blew compressed air through the vacumn line and watched the diaphragm open and close. I then soaked the non diaphragm end in injector cleaner for about 8 hours. I also cleaned the egr port in the intake plenum with some throttle cleaner. The idle improved and my ses light went out for about a month(came back on saturday but not sure for what yet.) Hope this helps.

Just be careful when blowing air up the port that you don't blow out the diaphram. Otherwise, ya pretty much what tommy said.

Well I obviously didn't correct my problem. Still getting a code 71 for egr. Good luck with yours though.

Awesome thaxs guys ill be giving it a shot some time this week
