HI brothers and sisters ECM UNIT MAKING WEIRD NOISE WHEN ENGINE NOT RUNNING ( coincides with fitting a new amp ) any advice appreciated

Are you sure it’s not coming from the factory amp which on US models is located adjacent of the ecu? Generally the factory amp is disconnected with an aftermarket install.

It’s a jap import but that’s a good point ( going close to it it sounds like ecu but will look closer )

I BELIEVE THE FIRST PIC IS THE AMP (where noise coming from ) AND SECOND IS ECU

Will removing wiring from that amp stop the noise ?

It won’t hurt anything to try. Search the site for discussion installing an aftermarket unit and disconnecting the factory amp.

I would investigate what that vampire tap on the wiring harness is for. That is not stock.
