Just wondering if an 82 Troopie with a full floater from AU would have the ebrake on the axle or on the t-case. Can anyone help? Trying to figure out what to do with the ebrake for my H55.

Thanks.

I bet if you call the SOR on their tech line you get a quick answer. I ordered a fullfloater axle(ebrake assy on axle) for my 82 fj40. There is a good chance it's on the axle.

I have an '82 troopy and the e-brake is on the transfer case output housing. I can get pictures tonight if you need them.

Thanks. No need for the pic. My buddy had a FF coming from AU. I was hoping that it had the ebrake on the Tcase. Turns out it doesn't. Looks like I will probably have to set one up on the tcase.

If it's from a 45/47, the ebrake would be on the t-case. Only ones I've seen at the rear wheels are 5 speed rigs--LXs and 60s. You could get the split-case e-brake parts from an aussie H41 (or Marv) or maybe put 60-series brakes on the axle (not sure if they would have to be FF brakes or not).
