Greetings;

Tried to adjust the ebrake handle over the weekend. The adjusting nut is adjusted all the way down.

If I back the nuts way off, how do I go about taking up the slak that will be in the cable before I retighten. I do have a FSM but did not see it covered.

Thanks in advance!

You need to adjust the brake shoes themselves first and then adjust the handle so that 8 clicks of the handle put you right where you need to be.

U can also adjust the cable at the handbrake lever by pulling up the cable and then tightening down and maybe adding more o-ring spacers. Easier to adjust if pull up all the way then go back underneath and put something (wood) in place to hold adjusters out at the rear of the hub (i.e inside facing the axle - just follow cable on both ends)
