Eaton is telling me the harrops wont fit the c-clip 9.5" rear end on the NA 100-Series and I could swear there were some guys triple locker here in the states with them. I called ECGS and they were pretty certain it fit.

I should clarify, Eaton is telling me they don't have a e-locker that fits the rear c-clip 9.5 in the US 100-Series, Im not certain how that varies between the AU Harrop units and the US Eatons.

Can anyone confirm this for me.

I'm getting quotes right now for a regear/e-lockers for my 100. None of the shops I contacted told me that (skip to the last sentence if you want to skip my babble). Some things i've found out while getting quotes. Every Toyota specialist shop I called for a quote for a Harrop told me that Eaton is the same now. Of course I didn't believe them because I wanted the Harrop specifically. I emailed a Harrop distributor and they confirmed before Eaton didn't make Toyota e-lockers and would ship Eaton blanks to Australia and would have to import the newly build Harrop/Eaton back into the states. Eaton now makes Toyota e-lockers in the US so there is no need to send out blanks and import the Harrop. I did read here on mud (that I can't confirm) that the wiring harness for the Harrop is better quality than the Eaton. I'm all for better wiring for audio/power distribution but for a e-locker 3 to 4 amp load it's probably not an issue at all since it's such a small load. Maybe Eaton is telling you that so you don't buy a Harrop e-locker to get you to buy the Eaton e-locker part number.

The agency that handles Eatons PR is who im dealing with so theres some translation loss through the pipeline, and Im guessing Eatons in-house tech tech is a little more cautious.

Did you already have a locked rear from the factory? Thus no rear unit?

Kinda sorta.. LSD still works. Someday I will replace it with another Harrop to "say that" it's triple-locked for bling purposes. LOL, I do have an external air unit. Though with my tires and usually muddy environment, I've not experienced a need to air down or up. I usually have terrible luck with air lines and avoided it.

The front locker has saved me from some embarrassing situations where I would have had to arranged for a tow while in the middle of nowhere. So I now consider it one of the most worthwhile mods that I've made. Also, I upgraded from two to four pinion in the process. So it was turning a 99 model weakness into a strength.

I do like the "Touchmatic" front locker button that I ordered to replace the Harrop switch. If I add a rear, I will use the traditional two-position rotary dial like the factory rear eLockers.

The Harrop wiring harness, instructions, and related components are overbuilt in my opinion.

Thanks for the referrals guys!

yes we sell & install the Eaton lockers and they offer both units for the 100-series. We were literally right in the middle of an install on a 2006 as we speak.
Feel free to give us a call and we will be more than happy to help.

Very nice set up. I believe I will do the same to mine in the near future. Thanks for posting. 👍
