I needed to replace the diff oil on the rear of my 80 today. Was using RedLine gear oil, which comes in 1 qt containers. I have a pump for the 1 gal gear oil containers...but how to pour the 1 qt containers?

I had a POS gas can spout laying around the shop...leaked badly when attached to a Wedco/Nato type gas can. Did a quick mod and removed the gas-can mount, resized the filler end to make it fit into the diff fill hole, and voila, easy pour spout for 1 at gear oil containers!

I have one of these, works well for filling diffs, trans and transfer. Makes quick work of the job.

Can be found at lowes or home depot for like $8-9.

Easiest thing is to just go to Kragens or the like....Sta Lube makes a pump for quart containers.. about $7-8 last month. Won't spill a drop.
