Early or late 84? (1 Viewer)

Ok, I’ve searched all over to try and determine if my 60 is an early or late 84 model and I’ve had no luck. The door tag is no longer there, so that isn’t an option. Does anybody have any other ideas to help me figure it out? Thank you in advance.

Look at your steering box bolt pattern. If it looks like the top one it’s an early 84, if it looks like the bottom one it’s a late 84.

What EXACTLY is the difference between an FJ-60 & FJ-62 steering box?

Change date for the FJ60 steering box is 4/85. The 60 frame was modified to accept the 70 series box after that date. FYI, this probably applies to the BJ series as well. I had no problem swapping my steering box between my post '85 BJ and the HJ61 frame I'm using (year unknown). The holes...
