Early OEM Front Heater Difference? (1 Viewer)

I have a few early front heaters and noticed a difference in the heat output opening. One opening is wide open and the other has a grid or air separator. Was there a specific application for either one? Maybe one is earlier than the other?

wonder if this plays into another thread where the louvres were shown in 2 different directions from 2 months ago?

I had two FJ45 LV's ( 66 and 67) with the heater with the reverse louvers and the four way separators. My FJ45 LWB ( 65) has the regular louvers and the non separated opening.

Maybe just a upgrade to heater boxes on newer models???
