Are the 40 and 45 hoods the same? Will ANY split hood from an FJ40 fit right on a 66 45LV?

The transporter trashed my hood when they brought me the truck and I need to source a replacement.

Yes they are the same dimensionally, difference would be the lack of windshield tie downs on the LV

I was told yesterday that they are NOT the same... that the sides come down at a slightly different angle right up by the cowl.... any thoughts on this?

Not sure Mark, I was alway under the impression they were the same from the firewall forward, but I can check it out this week.

My two 45s are sitting right next to each other. The SWB has a split hood with the ws bump holes welded up. I can't tell any differences. Tell me where to measure or take pics and ill do it in the morning.

If the shipper is paying I can sell you a nice hood. Comes with a free LV.

I would measure with the hood up across at the rear (windshield end) of the hood - corner to corner - across above the firewall - the width. I was told the LV hoods flare out a but and the sides of the 40 hoods are more vertical (when closed)

I am considering trying to hammer/dolly that back to good. I will not scrap it in any case.

What is that number? Is it identical to a 40? (I HOPE so!)
