I belive this is from a 72 maybe a 74, in good shape with a working zipper.

Not sure how to price this, so let’s say $1,000,000 for the folks that care about posting a price.

Otherwise, if you want it, just shoot me a message and it can be yours, make a reasonable offer.

The bag is from 60 series and the tools are not that early. Still cool though.

You should look at the tool thread to ID these tools. They are not early 1970's

Maybe, or I could just sell them to someone who cares. I found them in an early 70’s FJ40…I wasn’t trying to lie about them to trick people, I’m trying to re-home the parts I don’t need so they don’t waste away in a box in my shop. I wish I had the time to look up every single little detail and gain a massive understanding of such nuances, but I simply do not.

So if the bag is from a 60 series, how come I’ve seen this style bag in almost every 40 series I’ve come across?

Your not wrong here mudder. I'm not here say others are either. I'm jumping in here to show a picture of a Toyota Parts page showing when, year, these tools would have come from. So We can all make our own assessment. It's crazy but Toyota did start fairly early making the tool bags smaller. I have a buddy with a 72 another with a 72 each have different tool setups.
The tool year research section here on mudd is vast and very informative. Is it for everyone No, but that's the joy of Choice.
