Mike which style lid are you having made? The ones with the ribs running front to back or the ones with the ribs running diangonal or the plain style like this one. They all fit, just the early ones have different clips on the back.I've seen the style on Ebay used on both 25s and 40s.

That's the one I like the best . The other two types came on the early FJ40s. The diagonal one was only on the early 25s with the high battery/ tool box.

Huh...I've only seen the diagonal rib and plain versions, have two late 25s with the plain, is that not right?

Here's what I've found

Early 25s with high tool box = diagonal
Later 25s with lower tool box = 1 plan and 2 with ribs front to back
1961 40 = plan
early 1963 (62 production date) = ribs front to back

The early ones were diangonal, after that it doesn't make any sense. The one 25 with the plan cover has a lower VIN# then the two with the front to back ribs. Then the early 61 FJ40 which was produced after the 25s is back to plan. Later 40s back to ribs  Looks like Toyota couldn't make up their minds. The later 40 covers until 73 all had ribs.
