Blue= Oil Filter

To the right with screws in the top plate is the Fuel Pump.

Fuel filter should be to the left of the battery.

There is an oil filter, a fuel pump and a couple spark plug wires among other things.

I do not see a fuel filter, nor do I see where you would get fuel into your fuel pump from your tank.

:meh:

The line from the tank is vertical and black and appears to come out of the oil filter.

Damn, you guys are just cold ... This is supposed to be a warm, nurturing environment :lol::lol:

Unless there's a Filter just before the carb, or way back by the tank, looks like you don't have one.

Just put a plastic one in-line, before the pump. Size should be on the fuel hose.

Good deal on HD Attwood marine filters: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-3-8-IN-LI...44203&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=1&#ht_654wt_1185

Is your oil pressure gauge working, btw ?

Thanks Spike, I'll do that. No not yet, just got it 90% wired as of last night. Why do you ask?

Oil Pressure sender (round thing screwed into the base of the oil filter housing) is not connected. Should be a single wire to it with a connector that slides over the "nipple":D

Does it have a directional flow indicator on the fuel filter?

It looks like the filter is backwards. Check for a direction arrow in it. The flow goes to the fuel pump.

Fuel filter is mounted OK, see arrow.

BTW We pay $1.25 for those filters here in Costa Rica.
We use them standard as pre-filters.

Here is why....

are these the correct size filters for factory hoses? I will order a few.

I run two in a row.

Im just worried my fuel pump and carburetor are soiled to s*** now that its been run with some real s*** gas before i realized it and drained the system a few months back. Ive got a mind to have that mechanic take a look under the hood and crank the engine or him w/ it left in oops!, 1st gear! Are your knees okay??

Anywy, am i best off with a new pump and/or are you able to dissassemble and inspect or test for function. Im no mechanic ill be the first to admit it. Im just the pilot, and took it from here ....to here so far. Im good with that. :flipoff2:
