So, a PO installed a DIY dual battery setup which is... fine. It worked for him. But that battery has been dead since I bought the truck and I just haven’t gotten around to replacing it, mainly cause I have no need.
I’m hoping for some guidance on removing it before reinstalling my own dual battery set up down the road (1 step forward, 2 steps back, yada yada yada).
There’s a battery, a solenoid, and an additional fuse block being used for accessories (some driving lights, power in rear cargo, winch, onboard air). Can I just pull the battery out along with any wire leading away from it (think pulling weeds) and start again with my own design/diagram?
At this point I’m just paranoid of killing my primary battery due to linkages that I don’t understand fully. Antigravity is incoming, but basically want a clean slate. (Pics to follow)
Sorry I’m a dope.
