Yeah I thought of that afterward, you could somehow avoid disconnecting the lines. But, honestly I would be uncomfortable distorting them that much, I'd be afraid of something getting pinched or lost. The worst would be to have a bolt or something tumble down into one of the intake runners while you're moving the thing around.

The gasket is generally very pliable and reusable.
 
i ended up draining a gallon +. annoying job with those harness clips in the back of the manifold. sure enough nest under the manifold and chewed harness.
 
Tesa 51026 is what the German manufacturers use on their harnesses and it is amazing stuff. Black fabric, not vinyl, very heat resistant. Even super 33+ leaves behind a black adhesive residue when subjected to the heat under our hoods. The tesa stuff doesn’t do this at all.

Yes. Tesa is my go to and I have rolls of it in the garage

On my race bikes, I’ve always stripped them down and redid all the frame harnesss to remove lots of unnecessary fluff.

I’ve probably used 100 of yards of Tesa over the years. Love it
