If the vehicle was in your driveway you home owners insurance might pick up part of the tab. If it was in the street they will not.

Good call on the homeowners.

I know a guy in the Portland metro who just bought (for parts) an 88 FJ62 that a very large tree fell on and crushed. He bought it for the front clip, and is parting/scrapping the rest. I'm pretty sure the quarters are good, but probably doesn't help you at this distance.

Here's some pics, both classic cruisers and cruiser parts are quoting 350 bucks a side...ouch! Add on shipping and my need for two front fenders and I'm wondering if it wouldn't just be easier/better to find a donor vehicle.
