Here it is all completed and powder coated. I have been in contact with Sean about the raw bumper he has been building. Thanks to Nick, Sean was able to test fit the bumper on his rig to make sure it lined up on mine. Not all rigs are created equal ;) With some work from Sean, it's all good.

Looks good Bruno! (Nice fabwork Sean!) Now I have to save some pennies aside from the house buying funds...So I can get one too! Due to my past problem of jeep building/fixing days (mucho $$$) the vehicle modification spending habit left a nasty taste in the :princess: mouth... I need to hustle on the side to come up with funds for mods on the cruiser...

I am still working on my FJC and mods sale funds. Its quickly running dry though. Maybe enough for a front bumper left. Let's start a food truck for extra cash.

You and me both!

Yea, a good food truck.. They wife and I have been talking about it for a year... she went to culinary school (I'm still paying it off...) but she never really worked in the field.. not enough pay for the hours you have to sacrifice.... I know the food truck would be very similiar except you are your own boss... We're getting hit with lay offs at work... so it might be time to start looking into it a little bit harder...

I had to sacrifice my jeep for emergency funds, when my mother-in-law passed away a couple years back... so when I went to purchase a new vehicle (I was looking for a stock 80) the wife was buggin and said, "I hope you don't plan on lifting it and dropping tons of money and time into it." So I got lucky and bought one already modded! You should have seen her face when I came home with it.... see hunny its already done for me!!:D I knew she just wanted to kick me in the nads! LOL... but she actually likes it so much more than the XJs I had...:D

My wife hated that I sold the FJC but my thinking was, I lose a car payment and make some money from the sale of the vehicle and aftermarket mods. All of this to fund my new to me 80 project. So far the wife is happy because my 2.5 month old is in preschool and I have not had to dip into "our" funds for my stuff LOL.

I am hungry now!!

Back to our regular topic. So I was thinking about the spindle being open to the elements on the driver side. I plan on adding an additional swing out w/ jerry can holder and small cooler/cargo rack in the future. I mountain bike when I can and had an extra grip laying round. I sprayed some WD-40 in it and sealed the tiny vent hole with silicone and fit it on the spindle.

What do you think about my spindle condom?

Looks good Bruno! I should do the same to my spindle cause it is getting rusted. Sean did a great job.

Hey Nick! I think jerry cans and a small basket for cooler or other would be great on our bumpers. Sean is a great guy and put a lot into his work. Get a bike grip and protect the spindle. Not sure how much damage would happen but better be safe you know? I saw they sell plastic sleeves for the spindle but for what I had laying around it's perfect. You can get a pair of take off grips at a Wheel World for like $4-$7. I am sure any sporting goods shop has them too.

Looks good but you should have used Oury grips,
