Did driveshaft length change between the '74 3spd and the '74 4 spd? If so would any set of 4 spd driveshafts work despite the '74 4 spd being on a F engine? ???

come on, SOMEONE has to have put a 4 spd in a pre 74 cruiser?? I guess If they aren't, I could always cut them and lengthen/shorten them. ??? But if that has to happen, then it makes the SM420 seem like not so much more work.
Decisions, decisions... ??? :dunno:

Yes, the toy 4sp is about 2 inches longer than the 3sp, so the 4sp rear shaft is 2 inches shorter and the front 2 inches longer.

The sm420 is about 1 inch longer than the 3sp, so you may be able to use a 3sp shaft in the rear and a 4 sp shaft in the front (with a 4sp diff flange), especially with a 4 inch lift.
