Well, my 2013 LX570 has had some slight flickering in the normal low beam on the drivers side for several months and it finally went. All other lights within the assembly including the LED strip and high beam function properly. No issues on the passenger side. What replacement parts have yall used? Gone with OEM replacements or aftermarket? I assume I'll be replacing in a pair. Parts diagram with two number below.

I recently put these in my 2015:

Amazon product ASIN B00480J4I2
They are fine - same as OEM; however, I was expecting better than oem. I didn’t know it at the time, but apparently there’s a better version of this that you can’t buy in the US.

Also, i think it’s important to stick with the type of light you already have to match the housing. Meaning, if you have halogen housings, they won’t project the same with led bulbs.

Hey it looks like the image you tried to attach in your reply is not coming through for me. Also, I assume the differences in part numbers in my original post have to do with whether I have Halogen or LED?

What year is your LX? The diagram shows 08-11 halogen bulbs and those are the part numbers you list, but you mentioning an LED strip implies it's a 13-15, which has HID bulbs plus a ballast, either of which could be bad.

You can get the Philips Xtremevision 2 bulb upgrades in the US and they are pretty great, but over $200 for a pair. The Osram nightbreakers are still high quality, significantly cheaper and technically brighter, but are a bit warmer light color than the Xtremevisions.

And you are totally correct about retaining the type of light already in the housing. Even tiny differences in light emitting position or orientation can have a very big impact on beam shape and accuracy.

Thanks for this. I pulled the diagram based on a 2013 LX570, although typically I use the VIN and use desktop. May have missed the correct diagram for my year as you suggest. Has the forum determined a test procedure to verify whether the bulb or the ballast is bad other than swapping one to the other side?

I bought the Philips X-tremevision HIDs from lichtex.de. I don't see them for sale right now though. $125 for the pair, plus tax and shipping. I tested the QR codes and they came back as legit. They are not 150% as bright as OEM but I would say maybe 110%-120% of the brightness. I'm pleased with them though the color is slightly more yellow than OEM I think.

I previously bought the DMEX ones off Amazon. They are a more bluish tint and I didn't feel were as bright as OEM, but they were like $30 for the pair. I sent them back... TBH if the color was closer to OEM they likely would've seemed brighter and I might have kept them.

FWIW I don't have a way to measure color and brightness but I'd venture it's something like:

OEMDMEXX-tremvision
Perceived brightness100%85%115%
Approx color temp5000 K6000 K4700 K

@bloc is right. I was considering Xtremevision and Osram NightBreaker. Osram was a bit warmer but I found Osram Intense Cool and Boost cool. Slightly more expensive than Osram Nightbreakers. Cool Boost is cooler than legal limits I think, so I ordered Cool Intense. Will be installing them tomorrow and can let you know how they perform.

Depending on how they go.. I have Nightbreakers in my daily driver and wouldn't consider them too warm at all. Probably still cooler than most OEM HID bulbs, if marginally.
