By shot, do you mean U joints? You can take it to a driveshaft shop and have the U Joints (Use Toyota only) replaced and have it balanced for less than $200.

a rock put a dent in the center of the shaft about 3/4 inch deep that has thrown it off balance. I am going to try to get it balanced just searching around
A good driveshaft shop can repair that.

Have it retubed with thicker tube, it won't be as easy to bend next time.

Yes, tubing is not a bad problem at all-at least it isn't a yoke or otherwise. Any good driveshaft shop can cut and re-weld new tube. I'd go with 0.120 wall-won't likely dent again-unless you do something stupid
.Got the info from Christo and then searched around on tubing wall vs. weight and strength.
