How do you tell if you need longer drive shafts? Is there a specific amount of the splines that should be showing?

I am about to get a 4" lift and may run extended shackles.

You shouldnt need longer driveshafts with a 4" lift, but if at full axle droop the shaft either binds or comes out, then you will, obviously
