Hello again, still loving the '96 especially with gas under $2 now. My drip rail trim blew off coming to work today. It's the long black plastic trim piece that runs the length of the vehicle above the windows. I went back & got it, but I wondered if anyone else has had this happen. If so, did you put it back on? Doesn't look bad without it, just curious about anyone else. If you did put it back on, did you use something to put it on better - adhesive or something? Many thanks. -potbelly
 
Just take it off. Its just a covering to hide the seams. It doesn't serve any other purpose than hiding rust. I did it on my 60 and love the look. I will consider this on my LX once I start messing with my rack again.
 
I took mine off because they were loose and found that they had rubbed through the paint on both sides at the hood. Needless to say they went in the trash with the factory roof rack.

Mine blew off on the freeway. Never went back to get them.
 
I ripped mine off on purpose. i say lose 'em.... they don't do a damn thing.
