I thought someone might find this interesting. I though the huracan fab tailgate storage was a cool idea so o ordered one and installed it. It’s a solid product and the guys at the shop were great. I screwed up my foam and they sent me replacement pieces before I even paid them for the shipping. Awesome customer service.

the product is great but I was disappointed at how shallow it was because of the hump in the tailgate. My cruiser needed paint anyway so I called my buddy and told him o had a cockamamie idea. I asked if he could cut the hump out and gain me some room and give me a paint job at the same time. After opening and closing the tailgate about 10 times he said that he could and here’s what he came up with. I gained about 2” of depth, which doesn’t sound like much but I think it was only about 2” to start with so it’s a big difference. He was able to keep the factory lines so to the untrained eye it doesn’t look like it was modified. I was very happy with the way it turned out.
And I’m also trying to find info on a LS/4l80 swap. I’ve found bits and pieces on here but I’m having trouble navigating the site and I can’t seem to find the complete build threads. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks
