Looking for information on whether or not anyone is running these on a non-hard core truck. I've got a 60 wagon, running 17x9 rims, looking for source of below
$200 replacements with beadlock.
How easy is it to change a tire with beadlocks? How do they keep their air seal on a DOT wheel? What is the average number of stud bolts that hold on the outer ring.
Steel or alloy? I seem to remember about a 10 lb weight increase on a steel wheel. Is that normal or excessive?
I have no experience with beadlocks, never actually seen a set on a truck.
Any and all info and opinions are welcome.

I had a discussion today with a mechanic. Seems not legal on the roads of BC. End of discussion for me.

If they're DOT approved then they're legal regardless of what a mechanic said. Not going to happen for $200 a wheel though.

Ok, I thought I was getting conflicting info. I found a set called Mad Wheels, kind of cool. How hard is it to change a tire off of a beadlock?

I have HMMWV oem dual beadlock DOT approved wheels. They are really heavy, stiff tires and 16.5". However they were cheap as in <$200 for sure. I was able to buy 5 wheels and tires and inserts for ~$1200 shipped from texas to Maine.
I believe it was wheels $40, tires 110, insert 5, shipping 85 for each.

You put those on a cruiser? I thought the HMMWV were an 8 bolt pattern.

TrailWorthyfab.com makes customized HMMWV dual beadlocks.
Their beadlocks, with 37" Guarddog Treadwright retreads are about the best deal for 37's right now, it seems.

I'm trying to find a set of 37's for a 15" rim that are also radials for road use... Not finding so much...

I was just on the Trail Worthy Fab website, they had a couple of wheels that I like

17" Extreme Duty BEADLocK Rock Crawler Wheel
RT231 Monster Black 17x9.5 Premium Cast Aluminum Bead Lock Wheel

Both of these are around $400 ea, But can they be balanced very well? Or is that a dream?

One of the Alberta clubs are getting together on a buy of Hutchinson dual beadlocks. That is really what I want, the problem is they are size specific, 17x8.5 with 4.5" backspace. At 50 lbs each, I'd have to add more weight for wheel spacers to fit. I'm running 17x9's now, and I don't want to go narrower, as future plans indicate a need for 9" or 10" widths.
I think dual beadlocks are the ideal thing, but no such luck finding size. Looking for 17x9 / 17x9.5 but need 3.5" or 4" maximum backspace.
Keep looking...

There are places that can make them wider. Don't know of any there. You just need to look. Only if they are steel wheels

Have you considered the Interco IROK radials? That is a kick ass tire!
