I just replaced my rear passenger door lock actuator. Before putting the panel back I noticed that the door light won’t turn on when the door is open. Also, the door open signal on the dash won’t turn on which tells me it’s not sending a signal that the door is open.

What can I check to make sure I put everything back correctly or is there something else?

Thanks

Interested in this, same thing happened when I had my remote start/keyless entry installed....
Yours only does it on one door? If it is all doors you have a different problem.

mine is only on the one door. Is there a part number to replace?

Thank you. Let me try to cleaning fix first

Good plan, they're easy devices and get a little gunked up over time. Don't forget to shiny up any metal bits that are making contact with ground. Some wire brushing will do ya!

Ok so it’s not the bulb and it’s not the switch. I replaced it with a brand new oem part? What else could it be?

Here are the wiring diagram and troubleshooting notes. LMK if you need the reference pages from the notes.
