door open light won't go off (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I suspect my driver door switch is faulty as my door ajar light is on but flickers when I play with the driver side switch. never goes off, but does flicker. none of the other door switches do that. I pulled it out and un clipped it from its harness, the light stays on solid.

What am I missing? seems like it should be obvious and I'm missing it.

any suggestions?

I ordered a new switch that I expect to show up today.

A cheap and easy fix for me was to take off the switch, put a washer behind it, and then put it back on. It gave me just enough space to get a tight fit on the switch. Never flickered again after that and once it’s in place, you’ll never know the washer was even there. Hope it works for you.

it turns out it wasn't the switch on the drivers door, it was the switch internal to the rear hatch. I unplugged it and things started behaving. there's probably other gremlins lurking to be found sooner rather than later.
