Hey,

First post. Just purchased a 1997 LC. There are no pictures because you can just imagine a stock, white LC with very little in add ons (factory roof rack, sunroof wind deflector, rear wind deflector). I suspect you get the picture. As time goes on, I will do some add ons. This is a daily driver and the most off roading I do is to occasionally go crazy and drive over a curb at the grocery store. Yahoo! In the future I will add a Jaos center protector, Jaos skid plate, and some fog lights. I had Jaos on my 4Runner and they look good - got a lot of compliments.

My question - beig a solid white LC, I was looking for a liitle something easy to set it off. Where can you get the door moldings that I see on the 40th model? (I did the search but no luck) Specter Off Road has them, but they seem pricey.... Any other easy add ons that aren't $$$ ya'll recommend?

Thanks - EM

The only moldings you can still get from Toyota are the "4WD" for about $350 - the 40th and CE editions have been discontinued. Here's a pic of mine -

It's not cheap though.

I thought about a durabak side molding. Would look close, and cheaper.

Tucker and Darwood - Do ya'll have the "4WD molding" or is that the same molding as on the 40th or CE?

The only diference between the two is the front door mouldings. The 40/CE front mouldings are plain like all the rest on the truck. The other front roor mouldings say "FOUR WHEEL DRIVE" in bold letters.

I have the 4WD moulding. I believe Tucker's is the same.

I thought the 40/CE mouldings were also darker. Is this not true?

At least that's what I got from this: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=115397&postcount=16

I just sold my 40th molding. However, for your info, my molding had alignment tabs... so now I have at least two holes on every panal the trim was. (I don't really mind that much, but you all have seen my 80!) Just an FYI, for what it's worth.

I predict 18 months for your truck to be a full-on rock buggy.

I know i'm dragging out an old thread but anyone know the PN# for the "Four Wheel Drive" Moldings? I've been dying to get some
