I looked in the search and could not find anything relating to this. My 2005 LC only unlocks the driver door when the car is turned off. You have to physically unlock using the button on the driver door or pushing the unlock button the key. In the manual it describes the process to change this to unlock all doors, however, the process did not work for me. I have tried it several times with no luck.

Is there a common part that is the problem with these locks I should look at?

Thanks,

Chris

Don't worry. There most likely is nothing wrong with your car. I must have tried to unlock the door in the processed outlined in the manual over 2 dozen times with no luck until someone posted the correct way to open the door. I forgot the process but the only thing I wasn't doing correctly was releasing the desired/said buttons after the outlined time frame. For example..if the manual says hold forward lock button for 5 seconds and then you should hear the doors unlock and lock then the process was done correctly. You must release the button after the said time frame and the function will work. It worked for me the first time I did it. My problem was that I was waiting for the locks to move while depressing the button.

They get fussy.. if you can't do it, have your dealer do it for free. There are actually 3 modes/selections including the one you have. One that unlocks when the keys are turned off, and one that unlocks when you put it in park with the engine running.

good luck.

Wow, I can't even remember what I do to get into my car. My Toyota 4runner was 1 click to open the driver side and 2 clicks to open the rest. Is the LC the same way?

All the doors auto locking once Park is disengaged is a mixed blessing. In a dark parking garage late at night it's great. Other times it can be a hassle.

There are 4 options. If you don't like that you can change it. Mine was just unlocking the driver door.
