The lock mechanism on my driver side door refuses to flip to the "lock" position when I lock my doors. The door locks fine, and you can manually rotate the flipper to "lock" or the red tab, but it will not do it automatically.

Is this a problem with a spring loaded mechanism, can I fix it or do i need to buy one from somebody that is parting out a rig?

There has been a couple of threads recently with the same issue, they fixed it with some simple maint. to the mechanism. Try a search, I think you will find it's not to hard to fix youself..
