Does the LX have anything on the left side of the steering wheel?

Hi folks,
I replaced the steering wheel on my 97 with a wheel from an LX 450. I noticed that the cruise control plug on the LX wheel had two extra wires with a plug that went to the left hand side of the steering wheel, right behind the little cover(see pics). Just curious as to what may have gone there.
