Does Landtank still sell the fan clutch with the heavier oil and for how much?

what is the consensus on heavier weight for summer temps reaching 90 to 120 for a non-SC stock LC? 25k or would 20k be heavy enough? or heavier? is it more trial and error for your rig and temps in your region?

each thread i read offers so many different opinions.

What is the the verdict on the fan clutch with the modified spacer so SC'd engines can run the standard fan?

Hey fellas. Sorry to hijack the thread and ask the question, but I hopped on YouTube and watched 2 videos of two diff people modifying their fan clutch. One dude added 60k while the other mixed to make a 30k solution.

Soooooooooo........... landtank is 15k. What's the happs???

viscosities vary by the model of fan clutch - there were different models on '91/'92 vs. '93/'94 and '95-'97

not all interchangeable

if you have the OEM fan clutch for '91/'92, search around MUD for model number and specs

who knows! I did a lot of testing and have since sold a lot of modified clutches with good results. What other people do and why is a mystery to me.

I sent an email to Josh about pre selling these. I'm not sure how popular they will be and the clutch, while Toyota, is from an off shore model and I'm not sure how easily getting quantities will be.

You will probably need to do an off-line/LDO on a large quantity of these. Hoping that Toyota doesn't catch on that these aren't supposed to be available in the US market.

It would probably be smarter ordering in quantities of 2-3 at a time.

It depends on the clutch, the earlier clutches have more shearing area, later less, so they respond differently to viscosity change, also rig configuration and use. For desert conditions I use; for the early type Aisin, ~10K-12.5K, the Eaton, ~17.5-20K the late blue hub Aisin, ~25K-30K.
