Hi everybody,

Does anyone succeeded fitting LT375/65R16 tires (35.4" dia) on a OME 2.5" lift kit ?

I will not do much rock crawling, but have to deal with a lot of mud... :steer:

Please let me know if you succeeded and how you did

many thanks in advance :)

We need more specifics. OME 2.5 is too generic. What spring #'s or at least is it a "heavy or medium" kit?

I have mediums and 315 coopers that are ~34.5" and they rub a little if I turn really sharp going over bumps.

OME 2.5" heavy lift kit...

To be clear, are these tires 315/65/16R or 315/75/16R?

I think that with the 2.5" lift kit, the 315/75/16R would rub quite a bit. Not a good idea. Get a Slee 4" kit or similar.

Regards

Alvaro

Alvaro, to be clear, he is talking about 375/65/16s....

With a sawzall anything is possible.

X2, that wide of a tire is probably going to need a liberal application of sawzall and/or lots of bump stop. Search for Metal Tech's orange rig build for an idea of the sawzall work needed to fit that wide of a tire.

A 375 65R16 tire is 35.1" tall and 14.7" wide
A 375 75R16 tire is 38.1" tall and 14.7" wide

I run with 315 75R15 which is 34.6" tall and 12.4 wide on the stock LX450 rims. That is as wide as I would go on those rims. I have a 4" lift and I have only experienced rub with a stuffed tire.
