Yes, I know another one of THESE threads. I have searched for this before and cannot find anything. As someone who is 6'2" and have size 13 shoes the leg/foot room in my FJ40 is a little limited. I've tired getting into and out of friends rigs with metal-tech cages and saw this and thought it might offer a little more space. Getting in and out without hitting my knees would be great!

I know it might be more work to have the tube run through the dash, but I thought it was interesting. I am all ears for opinions on the design or if someone knows who made it I can research more on my own.

It has some goofy parts to it, but I was thinking if the down tubes ran through the defroster slots and through the floor to there that it wouldn't be a horrible setup.

Move your seat back instead. If you ran the A-pillars through the dash and then down to the floor, they would be in the way of your kick vents and the fuse block, plus be weaker for the bigger bends. FWIW, I'm 6'2" also (but only have size 10 shoes) and my MetalTech cage doesn't bother me at all once I got used to it. It really helped to re-do my seat mounts so they can slide back an extra 2-3" though.

Thanks 1911. I will look into that. I want to make extended brackets already so that might just be the way to go. Plus Metal-Tech is decently close by. I'll just want for a sale from them.

Thanks everyone!
