Got the wires, need the light and location - Anyone want to offer up some advise?

In the pic there is a plug in a hole on the console that is not being used...any lights that can go in this?

there is a light under the dash and one as well inside the "pocket" which is basically a plug, where you plug in a light fixture that came with the toyota stock. Cool cruisers I think you can buy the light, aftermarket. Those wires I am guessing go to the "pocket" outlet.

a couple cruisers i have or had had a light under the dash, above the heater control to light it at night . it was a small green light hope this helps

My 73 came with a dome light, really small dome light on the Driver's side pillar of the hardtop.

I think the courtesy light is the green-covered one in the center of the dash pad.

The one in the glove box with the plug is the "inspection light".

the wires

The wires pictured in my post are not to the small light by the heater diverter by the drivers right knee, nor is it to the utility outlet in the glove box - those both work fine. So, I guess it goes to this "green light?" that was referred too in the reply. If anyone has a pic, that would help. I'd like to wire it up to what it's intended for.

THANKS!

Those wires look like they go the the trouble light plug that is in the glove compartment. I removed the plug from my 40 and used the wires for a dash mounted map light, works awesome.

Or they are from the small light that attaches under the dash and lights the heater controls. If you need this light I have one that is just sitting on the self. Let me know. You can have for free, just the pay for the ride.
