if so, how do you like it?
where do you suggest getting it?
PS -- this one is the BOMB --
yeap we sure do........oh wait you said stickLey....never mind......
I thought you meant Sauder...
I wish. They carry it at Rejuvenation locally, but I can't affor it. Someday I'd like to get enough of a tool collection to make some reproductions, that would be cool.
I really like Gustav Stickley's Arts & Crafts (Craftsman) home deisgns too.
i agree, firetruck --
-- i'm trying to wedge my cruisers in here as we speak --
We have some genuine Stickley pieces, some imitation one we got at Restoration Hardware, some period antiques (not stickley per se) and some reproduction stuff I made. The Stickley stuff is holding up the best, next to the ones that I made. The antiques are, well, antique. The seats on the restoration stuff are sagging. These are dining room chairs, they cost about half what the Stickley's cost but apparently with good reason.
We've restored a couple ofd craftsman style houses. But are now in a house of inexplicable pedigree.
really -- do you have pics?
also, i would get new stickley stuff -- slowly -- if i did -- the antiques aren't worth it, to me, since i want stuff for my lifetime, not someone else's -- and i just want the stickley a&c line, so since they sell it new, i will go that route --
None that are flattering. I'll see if I can get a decent camera angle on it tomorrow.
