Just looking to see if anyone has a photo of these seat covers on their stock FJ60 seats.

I had Tuff Ducks before and loved them, but they were stolen.... long story.

I would just buy the tuff ducks again based on the fact that they were great, but I wanted to give Marathon a shot if they fit nicely due to the fact that I want the rear pockets.

Also the Marathons are cheaper. You can get the base bucket seat covers for $190 versus SOR Tuff Ducks at $285.

I looked at a lot of threads, but am still curious to get opinions on the Marathons if anyone has personal experience with them. Especially if they have seen both and have an opinion on quality, thickness, durability, and fit.

Thanks

Nobody? Might just have to reorder the tuff ducks then.

I don't have them in My 60 but have them in My F350 crew cab. They are the best set covers I've ever owned and fit perfectly, they will eventually be in My 60.
And from the pictures on SOR website My marathon covers fit a hell of a lot better than the Tuff Ducks

Thank you for that input.

One negative on the tuff ducks was that they faded in no time. My rear seats by tuff duck fit great, but the fronts were a little bunched on the seat bottom part. Otherwise they seemed really tough and fit decent.

I just called and there is a 2 month backorder....decisions, decisions...... I may skate by with smittybilt GEAR covers for the time being.

Never mind, I just realized they were sold individually......can't do that for $100+ each.....

Got some trail gear by Cabelas off of ebay for $35 shipped. I plan to dye the ACU pattern with black dye and hopefully get it looking somewhat gray with a ghost acu pattern. I'll post up a pic after.

That sounds really cool, looking forward to seeing the end result!

Well......the cordura type material would not accept the dye. On a good note nothing will ever stain these covers! I soaked them for an hour and they came out the exact as before the dye lol.

I bought some for my 87 4Runner. Had them custom cut & installed by Marathon in Bozeman (they had never done a 1st Gen and needed my seats for a few days). Great fit, great quality, decent price. I've bought them for every other vehicle I own, besides my Land Cruisers and antique autos where they don't make sense. I'm going to order a rear set for my latest 60 as soon as I get it back on the road (I have some nice sheepskin covers that I put on the front). They are durable, water 'resistant' (not 'proof' imho). I noticed some sun fading after a few years on my solid color ones, not on the multicam. They are meant to stay put, don't buy them if you want to take them on and off frequently.
That's funny about the dye- definitely not possible.

The sor tuff duck rear seat cover is amazing, the front for like a an oversized diaper in my 60s front seat bottom. I think the elastic system is crap. Oh they faded fast too.

As for cheap, really good covers the trail gear a a bargain. If you take the time to fit and adjust they look pretty good.

Thanks for the insight. I may put in for a set of I can wait that long.
