My 89 cruiser maintains 165 to 175 useualy 168 f heater aint as hot as i would like. Do they make a hotter thermostat say a 185 temp oir something like that?

Toyota also made 170F, 180F and 190F thermostat for land cruisers (until FJ80)
These are intended for diesel motor but also used for petrol motor by many people.

190(ish) was stock.
 
Is the upper thermostat gasket missing?
 
u no what i have no clue io bought the cruiser like three weeks ago . 255,00 miles on it. all i no about it is what ive done to it.
valve adjustment.
added dif and transfer case fluid.
trans cooler
oil pressure guage
TEMP GUAGE
two oil changes
tune up ie plugs wires ditributar cap no coil yet.
voltage guage
32 inch tires
and just broke a shock bolt off right where it screws into the threads im so pissed right now.
and it gets ten miles to gal in city and aprox 12.5 on highway going up mountains 55 to 75 miles and hour.
