Do Spindles Have a Left and Right?

I'm doing a front disc brake conversion on my '73, using parts from an '83 minitruck. I don't know which spindle came off of which side of the truck, but it appears to me that they are fully interchangeable. I just wanted to be on the safe side and ask. For what it's worth I will be using all new wheel bearings and races.
